    Thanks from me too - this has been popping up all over social media and I was thinking, HEY, that looks familiar… and fake.  People, there are enough astonishing photos of Sandy to dip into the Photoshop well so soon.   dbwrites: THANK YOU, BuzzFeed, for clearing this one up. Even my friends that live in Manhattan have been ooh-ing and ahh-ing over this picture, and it is SO. OBVIOUSLY. NOT. SANDY! Anyone with an ounce of sense would see the tourists all over around the base of Lady Liberty and be like, “oh, derp. Of COURSE this picture is fake. They shut down all forms of public transit yesterday. There’s no way all those tourists would just be chillin at the Statue of Liberty in the middle of a hurricane if there was NO WAY TO GET THERE.” Also, that little boat on the river? Yeah, right.
